According to JAMB, admission will commence August 21st, 2020. He, however, stated that this year’s deadline will be determined by the Federal Ministry of Education and communicated to all the institutions as the uncertainties of the pandemic have made it impossible to fix a specific deadline at this time.
This means schools and JAMB will start giving qualified candidates who have passed through the screening process of their different schools of choice admission from August 21st, 2020.
JAMB boss stated that the admission-exercise for the 2020/2021 Academic Session would be conducted on the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) as it has been for the last three years.
The board warned schools against giving any candidates an illegal admission. institutions are therefore reminded institutions and the public that all forms of illegal and irregular admission have stopped as all admission into Full Time, Distance Learning, Part-Time, Sandwich, must be processed only through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
JAMB tasked the three higher education regulatory bodies – The National Universities Commission (NUC), the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), and the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE ) – to collaborate with it to ensure full compliance with the guidelines.
